We’re so grateful to have had a family of Sebring alumni share their powerful testimony with our students as part of our most recent Alumni Speaker Series.
Siblings Zac Crewson, class of 2011, and Ali Crewson, 2016, as well as their father, Bob, class of 1982, lost two of their family members to suicide in recent years. They lost their brother/son, Jake, a Sebring graduate of 2015 and a veteran, as well as their mother, Jen.
They’re speaking out about mental health with their message, “Resilience. Turning Adversity into Opportunity.”
Zac is also participating in Mission 22’s 48-mile Ruck Challenge in honor of his brother, and has added on to make it 52-miles for his mom, too. Mission 22 is a non-profit dedicated to providing support to Veterans and their families.
Zac’s wife Taylor, another Sebring grad, and their two daughters were also on the panel.
THANK YOU to the Crewson family for taking the time to share their courageous story with us. Your strength is admirable and an inspiration to all.
What We're Learning: We'd like to extend a major THANK-YOU to everyone who contributed financially, or through sharing our fundraising project to purchase ukuleles for Mrs. Mansfield's 4th-6th-graders! They're so excited to begin learning to play!
